Cenobamate is an antiepileptic drug primarily used for the treatment of focal epileptic seizures in adults. 1. Conventional usage and dosage

(1) Initial dose: The recommended initial dose is 12.5mg, taken orally once daily for 2 weeks.

(2) Dose escalation: Increase by 12.5mg to 25mg every 2 weeks, with a target maintenance dose of 200mg/day and a maximum dose not exceeding 400mg/day.

(3) Medication time: It is recommended to take it at the same time every day, with or without food.

2. Medication for special populations

(1) Pregnancy period: Currently, there is a lack of medication data for pregnant women, and animal studies have shown a risk of developmental toxicity. It is necessary to weigh the benefits of treatment against potential fetal risks.

(2) Breastfeeding period: There is no data on whether medication is secreted with breast milk. It is recommended to avoid breastfeeding or weigh the pros and cons during treatment.
