(1) Metabolic abnormalities: Significant increase in blood cholesterol or triglyceride levels, which needs to be confirmed through blood tests.

(2) Hyperkalemia: manifested as abdominal pain, confusion, arrhythmia, limb numbness or pain, which may be life-threatening.

2. Common side effects that may self alleviate

(1) Endocrine system: Abnormal vaginal bleeding, breast pain/swelling (can occur in both men and women).

(2) Systemic symptoms: chills, fever, fatigue, loss of appetite, and muscle/joint pain.

(3) Digestive system: Diarrhea accompanied by cloudy urine, usually relieved in the short term.

3. Prevention and mitigation measures for side effects

(1) Regular monitoring: Follow up to check the progress of the condition, and blood tests for potassium levels and liver and kidney function.

(2) Drug contraindications: Combination use of spironolactone, potassium supplements, and strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (such as ketoconazole) is prohibited.

(3) Symptom management: If there is difficulty breathing, persistent vomiting, or neurological symptoms, seek medical attention immediately.
