Allydone Patches User Guide: Application Sites and Daily Care
The key to using Allydone transdermal patches correctly is to standardize the rotation of application areas and properly handle daily scenarios such as missed patches and bathing. The following guidelines can help you safely and effectively complete medication administration.
1、 Selection and rotation of application sites
Recommended location: limited to the outer upper arm, upper back (scapular area), and chest (avoid breast area). Choose a flat area with clean, dry, undamaged, and hairless skin.
Rotation rules:
To reduce skin irritation, please switch to a different area (such as from the left arm to the right chest) every time you change the patch.
The same anatomical area (such as the right upper arm) must be separated by at least 7 days before reuse.
2、 Leakage treatment plan
Short term missed patches (<12 hours): Immediately subsidize new patches upon discovery, and the next patch replacement time will still be executed according to the original schedule.
Long term missed patch (≥ 12 hours): Skip this missed patch and replace it with a new patch on the next regular patch replacement day. Do not double the dosage subsidy.
3、 Bathing and daily waterproofing
Normal bathing: The patch has basic waterproof properties and can be used for short showers (water temperature<40 ℃, time<15 minutes). Do not take baths, saunas, or shower the area for prolonged periods of time.
Post wash care: After bathing, gently pat the surface of the dry patch with a towel, avoiding rubbing to prevent the edges from rolling up or falling off.
Shedding treatment: If the patch becomes loose or completely falls off due to immersion in water, please refer to the "missing patch" rule (immediately subsidize or wait for the next dressing change), and replace it with a new patch on the other side.
4、 Additional Reminder
Avoid using soap, lotion or ointment to coat the application area so as not to affect the adhesion.
Please check the edges of the patch after taking a shower every day to ensure a tight fit. If there is any irritation, pause rotation to that area and consult a physician.
