Delgocitinib ointment is used for local treatment of atopic dermatitis. The correct application sequence, frequency, and discontinuation method are key to ensuring efficacy and reducing irritation.

1. Basic usage rules

1.1 Usage frequency: twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening, with an interval of about 12 hours between each use.

1.2 Dosage: Take an appropriate amount of ointment and apply a thin layer on the affected area to cover the skin lesions, without the need for thick application.

2. Combination order with moisturizers

2.1 Use moisturizing agent first: after cleaning the skin, apply a perfume free and non irritating moisturizing cream or lotion, and wait for 5-10 minutes until the skin is absorbed.

2.2 Afterwards, use Delgocitinib: After the moisturizer is fully absorbed, apply Delgocitinib ointment to the affected area.

2.3 Avoid mixing: Do not mix two products before applying them, they should be used separately and sequentially.

3. Discontinuation method

3.1 Gradual reduction: Do not stop taking medication immediately after symptoms improve. Suggest reducing the frequency from twice a day to once a day and maintaining it for 1-2 weeks.

3.2 Intermittent maintenance: If the condition is stable, it can be further reduced to 2-3 times a week until the medication is completely stopped.

3.3 Avoid sudden arrest: Sudden discontinuation of medication may lead to a relapse of the condition, and medication should be gradually withdrawn according to medical advice.

4. Precautions

4.1 For external use only: For skin application only, avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes.

4.2 Non packable: Do not cover the affected area with bandages or plastic film after medication to avoid increased absorption and irritation.
