Rosuvastatin calcium tablets are an HMG CoA reductase inhibitor primarily used to regulate blood lipid levels. The core information includes indications, standard usage and dosage, and potential adverse reactions, requiring special attention to liver function monitoring and drug interactions.

1. Indications

(1) Primary hypercholesterolemia: including heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia, which can significantly reduce LDL-C levels;

(3) Atherosclerosis prevention: used for primary/secondary prevention of coronary heart disease, to delay the progress of plaque.

2. Usage and dosage

(1) Initial dose: usually 5-10mg once daily, recommended starting from 5mg for Asian populations;

(2) Dose adjustment: The dose can be doubled every 4 weeks according to the blood lipid target, with a maximum of 40mg/day;

(3) Medication time: Take at any fixed time, it is recommended to increase bioavailability after dinner.

3. Side effects

(1) Common reactions: headache (6.4%), muscle pain (3.1%), constipation (2.4%), etc;

(2) Serious risks: rhabdomyolysis (0.1%), elevated liver enzymes (0.5%), memory impairment, etc;

(3) Special note: Combination use with warfarin may increase INR values, and coagulation function should be closely monitored.

4. Taboo population

(1) Patients with active liver disease or those with persistent elevation of transaminase for unknown reasons;

(2) Pregnant and lactating women, as well as women of childbearing age who have not taken contraceptive measures;

(3) It is contraindicated for individuals allergic to rosuvastatin or excipients.
