Zongertinib, as a novel tyrosine kinase inhibitor, requires a systematic understanding of its side effect profile and management strategies. The following provides guidance for clinical medication safety from three dimensions: handling common side effects, coping with serious adverse reactions, and precautions for special populations.

1. Common Side Effect Management

(1) Digestive system response

The incidence of diarrhea is about 58%. It is recommended to use loperamide and maintain electrolyte balance; Nausea and vomiting can be prevented by prophylactic administration of 5-HT3 receptor antagonists.

(2) Skin toxicity

The incidence of rash is 42%, and non-alcoholic moisturizer should be used. In severe cases, medication should be suspended and oral antibiotics should be considered to prevent infection.

2. Response to serious adverse reactions

(1) Cardiac toxicity

The incidence of QT interval prolongation is 9%. Regular electrocardiogram monitoring is required at baseline and during medication to avoid the use of other drugs that can cause QT prolongation.

(2) Interstitial lung disease
