Guidelines for taking Belumosudil
Belumosudil is used for the treatment of chronic graft-versus-host disease, and correct medication and dosage adjustment are key to ensuring efficacy and safety. The following are the key points for daily use, handling of missed doses, and dosage adjustment.
1、 Daily administration method
The recommended dosage is once daily, taken with meals.
Take the medication at a roughly fixed time every day, swallow the entire tablet, and do not cut, crush, or chew it.
Taking with meals can improve absorption stability and avoid taking medication on an empty stomach.
2、 Handling of missed services
If missed and more than 12 hours before the next medication, it should be taken as soon as possible.
If it is less than 12 hours before the next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose according to the original plan.
Do not take two doses at once to make up for missed doses.
If vomiting occurs after taking the medication, do not take it again and follow the original plan for the next dose.
3、 Dose adjustment
When adverse reactions occur, doctors may suspend medication, reduce dosage, or permanently discontinue medication.
Common situations that require adjustment include abnormal liver function, infection, and hematological toxicity.
Co administration with strong CYP3A inducers may reduce efficacy and should be avoided or the dosage adjusted.
Co administration with strong CYP3A inhibitors may increase exposure and require monitoring for adverse reactions.
Any dosage adjustment must follow the doctor's advice and cannot be adjusted or stopped on one's own.
4、 Precautions
Regularly monitor liver function, blood routine, and signs of infection during medication.
Notify the doctor of all concomitant medications, including prescription drugs, over-the-counter drugs, and herbal medicines.
Women of childbearing age need to use contraception during treatment and for a certain period of time after the last dose.
Breastfeeding women should not breastfeed.
Seek medical attention promptly if severe discomfort occurs.
