Guide to taking Naldemedine
Proper medication is the foundation for ensuring efficacy and safety. This guide covers the core points of daily usage, handling of missed doses, and dosage adjustment. Please strictly follow it.
1、 Routine administration method
Once daily, fixed time: It is recommended to take the medication at the same time every day to maintain a stable blood drug concentration.
Both on an empty stomach and with meals: This product is not affected by eating and can be taken with food or on an empty stomach.
Swallow whole tablet: Do not chew or crush the tablet.
2、 Handling of missed services
Missed dose time<12 hours: Take it immediately upon recollection, and continue to take it according to the original plan for the next time.
Missed dose time ≥ 12 hours: skip this missed dose and take it on time next time. Do not take double the dose at once.
3、 Dose adjustment (requires medical guidance)
Renal insufficiency: It is not recommended for patients with severe renal insufficiency (eGFR<15mL/min/1.73m ²).
Liver dysfunction: Not recommended for moderate or severe liver dysfunction patients.
Combination therapy: When used in combination with potent CYP3A4 inducers (such as rifampicin), dosage adjustments may be necessary; When used in combination with potent CYP3A4 inhibitors (such as ketoconazole), it is also necessary for a doctor to evaluate whether a reduction is needed.
4、 Other precautions
During treatment, avoid changing the dosage or stopping the medication on your own.
If severe and persistent abdominal pain or worsening diarrhea occurs, timely medical evaluation should be sought.
