Abemaciclib Usage Guide: Meal and Dose Management
Proper use of Abemaciclib is the foundation for ensuring efficacy and controlling adverse reactions. The core principle is to take with meals to alleviate gastrointestinal discomfort and adjust the dosage flexibly based on adverse reactions. The following are specific operational points.
1. Take with meals and daily operations
1.1 Fixed meals included
It is recommended to take medication with breakfast or dinner every day. Food can buffer the stimulation of drugs on the gastrointestinal tract, reducing reactions such as diarrhea and nausea.
1.2 Whole pill swallowed
Please swallow the pill completely, without crushing, chewing or breaking it open, to avoid affecting the efficacy or increasing irritation.
1.3 Daily Schedule
Try to take medication at the same time every day to maintain a stable blood drug concentration. If there is a change in meal time, it can be adjusted slightly, but the interval should not be too long.
2. Principle of dose adjustment
2.1 Adjustment based on adverse reactions
When severe or persistent side effects such as diarrhea and decreased blood cells occur, medication can be temporarily suspended or the dosage reduced (such as from 150mg to 100mg or 50mg) under the guidance of a doctor.
2.2 Recovery and Quantity Increase
After the symptoms have eased to mild or disappeared, treatment can be resumed at the original dose or slightly lower dose. It is not recommended to increase the dose on your own.

3.3 Post vomiting treatment
