Common side effects of cabozantinib include diarrhea, photosensitivity, and fever. Scientific management of these adverse reactions can reduce their impact on daily life and ensure smooth treatment.

1. Diarrhea management

1.1 Dietary adjustments: Avoid high fiber, greasy, and spicy foods; Choose a low fiber, light diet (such as bananas, white porridge), with a small number of meals.

1.2 Fluid replacement and medication: Drink enough water every day and take oral rehydration salts. If you experience diarrhea more than 3 times a day, you can follow the doctor's advice to use antidiarrheal medication.

1.3 Medical indications: If severe diarrhea (≥ 6 times a day), signs of dehydration, or bloody stools occur, immediate medical attention is required.

2. Protection against photosensitive reactions

2.1 Strict sun protection: Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF ≥ 30) 30 minutes before going out, and reapply every 2 hours; Wear long sleeved clothes, wide brimmed hats, and sunglasses.

2.2 Avoid strong light periods: Reduce outdoor activities between 10am and 4pm.

2.3 Skin rash treatment: If a sunburned rash appears, it can be relieved by cold compress or external application of low efficiency hormone ointment; If the skin blisters or pain intensifies, contact a doctor.

3. Coping with fever

3.1 Body temperature monitoring: Measure body temperature in the morning and evening every day, record the time and degree of fever.
