Seladelar Medication Guide: Fasting or with meals? Suggestions for missed doses and dosage adjustments
Seladelpar taken with meals can improve tolerance; If the missed server time is ≤ 12 hours, it needs to be replenished. If it exceeds the time limit, it will be skipped; Dose adjustment should be based on liver and kidney function and the severity of adverse reactions, under the guidance of a doctor, and should not be changed on one's own.
1、 Fasting or with meals?
Recommended to be taken with meals to reduce gastrointestinal reactions such as nausea and abdominal discomfort.
If there is no obvious discomfort after taking on an empty stomach, it can also be taken on an empty stomach, but it needs to be taken at a fixed time every day to maintain consistency.
Swallow whole pill, do not crush, chew or dissolve.
2、 Handling methods for missed services
2.1 Principle of Regular Supplemental Services
If the missed dose time is less than 12 hours: take it immediately and continue to take it at the original time next time.
If the missed dose time is ≥ 12 hours: skip this dose and take it according to the original plan the next day. Do not double the dose.
2.2 Continuous missed service
If the medication is missed continuously for ≥ 2 days, a doctor or pharmacist should be contacted to evaluate whether the overall medication plan needs to be adjusted.

The regular starting dose and maintenance dose follow the doctor's advice and are usually personalized based on body weight or liver and kidney function.
3.2 Adjustment during abnormal liver function
Mild liver injury (Child Pugh A): No adjustment required.
Moderate liver injury (Child Pugh B): It is recommended to reduce the dosage and follow the doctor's advice for the specific extent.
Severe liver injury (Child Pugh C): contraindicated.
3.3 Adjustment during renal dysfunction
Mild to moderate renal insufficiency (eGFR ≥ 30mL/min/1.73m ²): No adjustment required.
Severe renal insufficiency (eGFR<30mL/min/1.73m ²) or dialysis: lack of safety data, not recommended for use.
3.4 Reduction related to adverse reactions
If there is a sustained grade ≥ 3 adverse reaction, medication may be considered to be suspended until it returns to grade ≤ 1, and then restarted at the original dose or at a reduced dose (such as halving). The specific plan should follow the doctor's advice.
