Nausea, vomiting, and fatigue caused by amlodipine are mostly mild to moderate, and can be effectively controlled by adjusting medication methods, optimizing diet, antiemetic drugs, and energy management. If symptoms worsen or affect daily life, it is necessary to communicate with a doctor in a timely manner, adjust the dosage or suspend medication if necessary, and do not handle it on your own.

1、 Disgusting coping strategies

1.1 Adjusting medication methods

Taking amlodipine with meals (especially breakfast or dinner) can alleviate stomach irritation.

Avoid taking medication on an empty stomach and reduce direct irritation to the gastrointestinal mucosa.

1.2 Diet and lifestyle habits

Small amount and multiple meals: eat 5~6 times a day, and choose light and digestible food (such as soda biscuits, rice porridge, steamed vegetables).

Avoid greasy or spicy foods and reduce the odor environment that triggers nausea (such as kitchen fumes).

Maintain a sitting position for 30-60 minutes after meals and avoid immediately lying down.

1.3 Drug intervention

Antiemetic drugs: If nausea persists, 5-HT3 receptor antagonists (such as ondansetron) or dopamine receptor antagonists (such as metoclopramide) can be used under the guidance of a doctor.

If necessary, antiemetic drugs can be used preventively before chemotherapy.

2、 Management of vomiting

2.1 Acute vomiting management

Pause eating: Do not eat for 1 hour after vomiting, wait for the stomach to stabilize, and drink a small amount of water (such as ice cubes in the mouth or sipping warm water in small sips).

Antiemetic medication: If vomiting has occurred, sublingual or intravenous antiemetic medication (such as ondansetron orally disintegrating tablets) can be used, repeated every 6-8 hours as needed.

2.2 Prevention of dehydration

Oral rehydration salts: Drink small amounts multiple times to avoid exacerbating stomach bloating with large amounts of water at once.

Monitor urine volume and color. If there is a significant decrease in urine volume or dry mouth, seek medical attention promptly for fluid replacement.

2.3 Grading Processing

Grade 1-2 vomiting: Adjust diet and take oral antiemetic medication.

Grade 3 vomiting: Suspend amlodipine and contact a doctor to assess whether a dose reduction or hospitalization for fluid replacement is necessary.

3、 Measures to alleviate fatigue

3.1 Energy Conservation Strategy

Reasonably plan activities: Divide household chores, work, etc. into periods of good energy (such as in the morning), interspersed with short breaks (5-10 minutes every 30-45 minutes).

Avoid prolonged and continuous activities to reduce unnecessary physical exertion.

3.2 Mild exercise

Engaging in 15-20 minutes of low-intensity exercise daily (such as walking, stretching exercises, Tai Chi) can improve blood circulation and mental state, but avoid overexertion.

3.3 Sleep and Psychological Support

Maintain a regular sleep routine and set a fixed bedtime and wake-up time.

Avoid prolonged bed rest during the day (≤ 30 minutes nap) to avoid affecting the quality of sleep at night.

If fatigue is accompanied by low mood, seek psychological counseling or support group assistance.
