The contraindications for Triumeq mainly include HLA-B * 5701 gene positive patients and patients with severe liver disease. The use of this drug in these two groups may cause fatal allergic reactions or worsen liver damage. Before medication, it is necessary to strictly screen the genetic status and evaluate liver function to ensure treatment safety.

1HLA-B * 5701 positive patient

(1) Absolute contraindication: Abacavir ingredients can cause hypersensitivity reactions in gene positive patients, manifested as fever, rash, difficulty breathing, etc., which can be fatal in severe cases.

(2) Screening requirements: All patients must complete HLA-B * 5701 testing before the first use of medication. Those with positive results are prohibited from using Triumeq, while those with negative results should still be alert to delayed onset allergic symptoms.

2 patients with severe liver disease

(1) Risk mechanism: Drug metabolism may aggravate liver function damage, especially in patients with hepatitis B/C infection or cirrhosis.

(2) Clinical recommendation: Children Pugh grade C patients should not use it; Patients with moderate to severe liver damage should be closely monitored for ALT/AST, and medication should be stopped immediately if symptoms such as jaundice and ascites occur.

(1) Breastfeeding period: HIV infected individuals should avoid breastfeeding to prevent vertical transmission of the virus.
