1. Monitoring of blood lipid abnormalities

Ailasetran may lead to hypercholesterolemia (incidence rate of 30%) and hypertriglyceridemia (incidence rate of 27%). The incidence of severe blood lipid abnormalities in grades 3-4 is 0.9% and 2.2%, respectively, and regular monitoring of blood lipid levels is required before and during treatment.

2 Liver toxicity risks

(1) Regular testing of liver function indicators such as ALT/AST is required during treatment; (2) Monitoring should be strengthened when there is a significant increase in transaminase levels; (3) Severe liver toxicity requires temporary suspension of administration until recovery, and permanent discontinuation if necessary.

3 Gastrointestinal Reaction Management

(1) Common symptoms of diarrhea may have poor response to anti diarrheal drugs; (2) Discontinue treatment when severe diarrhea or colitis occurs; (3) If there are signs of intestinal perforation such as abdominal pain and vomiting, seek medical attention immediately.

4 Principles of Dose Adjustment
