Precautions for taking AstraZeneca: Nausea, dyslipidemia, and drug interactions
Attention should be paid to the risks of dyslipidemia, embryotoxicity, and drug interactions when using Ailasequn medication. Regular monitoring of blood lipids and contraceptive measures should be taken. The following provides a detailed explanation of precautions from three aspects: adverse reaction management, medication for special populations, and drug interactions.
1. Management of blood lipid abnormalities
(1) Monitoring requirements: Regularly monitor cholesterol and triglyceride levels before and during treatment. 30% of patients may have hypercholesterolemia, and 27% may have hypertriglyceridemia.
(2) Graded treatment: The incidence of grade 3-4 dyslipidemia is 0.9% -2.2%, and treatment should be interrupted until recovery and reduced in use.
2. Embryo toxicity protection
(1) Contraceptive measures: Patients and partners of childbearing age should take effective contraception during treatment and within one week after discontinuing medication.
(2) Pregnancy contraindications: Pregnant women may use it to cause fetal damage, and the pregnancy status should be confirmed before medication.
3. Treatment of liver function abnormalities
(1) Child Pugh Class C patients are contraindicated, Class B patients need to reduce dosage, and Class A patients do not need to adjust dosage.
(2) Regularly monitor transaminase levels, discontinue treatment if grade 3 liver toxicity occurs, and reduce dosage after recovery.
4 Drug Interactions
(1) Avoid using potent CYP3A4 inhibitors (such as clarithromycin) in combination, as it may increase the blood concentration of Elastin.
(2) Avoiding the use of CYP3A4 inducers (such as rifampicin) in combination may reduce drug efficacy.
(3) When used in combination with P-gp/BCRP substrates, the dosage of the latter needs to be adjusted, which may increase the risk of adverse reactions.
5 Omission and Overtreatment
(1) If the missed dose exceeds 6 hours, the dose should be skipped and taken normally the next day.
(2) Skip the current dose when vomiting occurs.
(3) Suspected overdose requires immediate medical attention. There is no specific antidote, and symptomatic supportive treatment should be taken.
