Ospolot, as an antiepileptic drug, needs to be adjusted according to physiological status and liver and kidney function for special populations. The following provides a detailed explanation of medication precautions from the perspectives of pregnancy, lactation, and other factors.

Medication during pregnancy

(1) Animal studies have shown that thiamethoxam may be teratogenic, and pregnant women should strictly evaluate the benefit risk ratio when using it. When the risk of uncontrolled seizures during pregnancy may exceed the potential harm of medication, it should be used under the supervision of a neurologist.

Medication during lactation period

(2) Medications can be secreted into breast milk, which may cause sedation or feeding difficulties in infants. It is recommended to suspend breastfeeding during treatment or make individualized decisions based on infant reactions and drug concentration monitoring results.

Three medications for children

(3) Insufficient safety data for children under 6 years old, dosage should be adjusted according to weight. The initial dose is 4-5mg/kg per day, taken in divided doses, with a maximum of 30mg/kg per day.
