Usage, dosage, and medication guidelines for Voranigo
Voranigo is an oral targeted drug mainly used to treat cancer patients with specific gene mutations. Its usage and dosage need to be adjusted according to the patient's weight, liver function, and combination therapy situation. Clinical use should strictly follow the principle of individualized administration.
1. Conventional usage and dosage
(1) Basic dose: It is recommended to take orally twice a day, either with a low-fat meal or on an empty stomach.
(2) For patients weighing ≥ 40kg: 270mg twice daily is recommended when not in combination with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors; If combined with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors, reduce to 160mg twice daily.
(3) Patients weighing less than 40kg: The dose should be calculated based on body surface area (BSA), with a reference range of 160mg/m ² or 95mg/m ² twice daily.
2. Principle of dose adjustment
(1) Hematological monitoring: Before administration, it is necessary to ensure that the white blood cell count is less than 25Gi/L, otherwise the administration should be delayed.
(2) Adverse reaction management: When specific toxic reactions occur, the administration should be suspended or reduced, and the specific adjustment plan should refer to the clinical evaluation results.
3. Medication for special populations
(1) Liver dysfunction: Patients with moderate to severe liver dysfunction should use it with caution and may need to adjust the dosage.
(2) Pediatric medication: Safety and efficacy are not yet clear, and individualized evaluation is needed under the guidance of a doctor.
(3) Elderly medication: No regular dose adjustment is required, but close monitoring of adverse reactions is necessary.
4. Medication precautions
(1) Drug interactions: Avoid combination with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors or inducers, and adjust the dosage if necessary.
(2) Omission treatment: If the missed dose exceeds 4 hours, the dose should be skipped and double supplementation is not allowed.
(3) Storage conditions: Store in a dry place below 25 ℃ to avoid moisture.
