What does dabrafenib treat? How is the effect?
Dalafenib mesylate capsules are a kinase inhibitor targeting BRAF V600 gene mutations, mainly used to treat various malignant tumors carrying this mutation, including melanoma, non-small cell lung cancer, etc. Clinically, it has been shown to significantly inhibit tumor growth and prolong patient survival.
1. Scope of indications
(1) Melanoma: Suitable for unresectable or metastatic melanoma with BRAF V600E or V600K mutation positive, as well as postoperative adjuvant therapy.
(2) Non small cell lung cancer: used for BRAF V600E mutation positive metastatic non-small cell lung cancer patients.
(3) Other solid tumors: including undifferentiated thyroid cancer, low-grade gliomas, and other BRAF V600E mutation positive solid tumors.
2. Therapeutic effect
(1) Mechanism of action: By selectively inhibiting the mutated BRAF kinase and blocking the MAPK signaling pathway, tumor cell proliferation is inhibited.
(2) Clinical data: In key trials, there was a significant improvement in objective response rate (ORR) and progression free survival (PFS) compared to chemotherapy.
(3) Combination therapy: often used in combination with trametinib, can delay the development of drug resistance and enhance anti-tumor efficacy.
