Upadacitinib, as a JAK inhibitor, commonly has side effects such as increased risk of infection and gastrointestinal reactions, which require targeted prevention and mitigation measures. The following will classify and explain its side effects and corresponding treatment methods.

1. Infection risk prevention and control

(1) May increase the risk of bacterial, viral, or fungal infections, manifested as fever, cough, fatigue, etc. Before medication, tuberculosis screening is necessary. During treatment, avoid contact with the source of infection and seek medical attention promptly if symptoms occur.

(2) Regularly monitor blood routine and strengthen protection when neutrophils decrease. Avoid crowded places, pay attention to hand hygiene and oral hygiene.

2. Digestive system response

(1) Common nausea and diarrhea, it is recommended to take medication after meals. Mild diarrhea can be supplemented with electrolytes, and if it persists or causes bloody stools, medical attention should be sought.

(2) May cause elevated liver enzymes, avoid alcohol during medication, and regularly test liver function. Stop taking medication immediately if jaundice and abdominal pain occur.

3. Cardiovascular and metabolic effects
