Fumarate propofol tenofovir tablets (Vemlidy) are a novel nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor mainly used for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus infection, with high antiviral activity and good safety characteristics.

1 Scope of indications

(1) Suitable for chronic hepatitis B patients over 12 years old and weighing ≥ 35kg.

(2) Long term antiviral therapy for patients with compensatory liver disease can significantly reduce HBV DNA levels.

2 Pharmacological mechanism of action

(1) As a prodrug of tenofovir, it is converted into the active metabolite tenofovir diphosphate in liver cells.

(2) By competitively inhibiting HBV DNA polymerase, blocking viral DNA strand elongation, and suppressing viral replication.

3 clinical treatment advantages

(1) Compared to traditional tenofovir disoproxil fumarate, it has higher liver cell targeting ability.

(2) Plasma stability is better, which can reduce systemic exposure, decrease nephrotoxicity and bone density effects.

4 Usage and Dosage Standards

(1) The standard dose is once daily, 25mg each time, taken with meals.

(2) Patients with renal insufficiency need to adjust their dosage according to creatinine clearance rate.

5 Special Precautions

(1) Regular monitoring of liver function, HBV DNA levels, and renal function indicators is required during treatment.

(2) HIV co infected individuals should use other antiretroviral drugs in combination and avoid monotherapy.
