Dificid is usually taken for several months
The standard course of treatment for Dificid is usually 10 days, mainly used to treat Clostridium difficile infections. Its usage period should strictly follow medical advice and cannot be extended or shortened on its own. In special circumstances, it may be necessary to adjust the treatment plan, but conventional treatment should not exceed two weeks.
1. Standard treatment duration
(1) Adult patients: Oral administration twice a day for 10 days to complete the entire course of treatment, with a total dose of 4000mg.
(2) Child patients: The same 10 day treatment course is used, and the daily dose is divided into two doses based on body weight.
2 Principles for adjusting treatment courses
(1) Assessment of treatment response: If symptoms do not completely improve after 10 days, re evaluation is necessary instead of directly prolonging medication.
(2) Recurrence treatment: The same treatment course can be used for the first recurrence, and other treatment options should be considered for multiple recurrences.
3 Special precautions
(1) Do not discontinue medication on your own: Even if symptoms improve, complete the entire 10 day course of treatment to prevent recurrence.
(2) Renal insufficiency: For patients with creatinine clearance rate<50mL/min, the course of treatment remains unchanged, but the dosing frequency needs to be adjusted to once a day.
