Tretinoin, as a derivative of vitamin A, has multiple pharmacological effects such as regulating cell differentiation and inhibiting sebum secretion. Its drug interactions involve the influence of metabolic enzymes and the risk of combination therapy, and special attention should be paid to its enhanced photosensitivity.

1. Effect of action

(1) Acne treatment

By normalizing the differentiation of keratinocytes, reducing the formation of micro pimples, and inhibiting sebaceous gland activity, abnormal keratinization of hair follicles can be improved.

(2) Anti leukemia effect

Inducing differentiation and maturation of acute promyelocytic leukemia cells, promoting the transformation of abnormal promyelocytes into normal neutrophils.

(3) Improvement of skin photoaging

Stimulate collagen synthesis in the dermis, reduce matrix metalloproteinase activity, and improve fine lines and pigmentation.

2. Drug interactions

(1) Photosensitive drug

Combined use with tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones, and sulfonamides can significantly enhance phototoxic reactions, and should be avoided.

(2) The impact of liver drug enzymes

CYP2C8/3A4 inducers (such as rifampicin) may lower blood drug concentrations, while inhibitors (such as ketoconazole) increase the risk of toxicity.

(3) Taboos for compatibility of external preparations

Avoid using in combination with irritating ingredients such as benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid, as it may cause severe skin irritation or dryness.

(4) Vitamin A related preparations
