It can reach steady-state blood drug concentration after continuous administration for 2 days.

(1) Food impact: Clinical studies have shown that food has no significant effect on the absorption of eplerenone, and can be taken on an empty stomach or after a meal.

(2) Best time: Patients can choose a fixed time to take medication according to their medication habits. It is recommended to take medication at the same time every day to maintain stable blood drug concentration.

2 Pharmacokinetic characteristics

(1) Absorption characteristics: Peak concentration is reached within 1.5-2 hours after oral administration, and linear pharmacokinetic characteristics are observed within the dose range of 25-100mg.

(2) Steady state time: After continuous administration for about 2 days, the steady-state blood drug concentration can be reached, with a half-life of 3-6 hours.

3 Precautions

(1) Drug interactions: It is necessary to avoid using strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (such as ketoconazole) in combination, as it may significantly increase blood drug concentrations.

(2) Special population: Patients with liver dysfunction need to adjust their dosage, but there is no need to change their medication regimen due to eating habits.
